Nor Hidayah Hussain received her Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2009, and her Master’s degree in Education (Instructional Technology) from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in 2011. She earned her Ph.D. from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2020.
She is currently serving as a lecturer at the Department of Computing, Faculty of Creative Multimedia and Computing, Universiti Islam Selangor (UIS), where she has been appointed since August 2023. Prior to joining UIS, she served as a Research Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at the Software Technology and Management Research Center (SOFTAM), Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FTSM), UKM from 2013 to 2020. Throughout her research involvement, she gained extensive experience in data collection and analysis, instrument development, as well as managing the design and development of mobile applications and games.
She has published several research articles in Scopus-indexed journals, a book chapter, and a book published by Penerbit UKM. She is currently continuing her work in journal writing related to multimodal interaction for preschool children. Her research interests include Human–Computer Interaction, Interface Design, Child–Computer Interaction, Multimodal Interfaces, and Gesture Interaction.
